As we wrap up 2017, I’m on track to finish up Applied Social Network Analysis in Python the last in a five course specialization in Applied Data Science with Python through the University of Michigan via Coursera. It was sentiment and social network analysis that originally got me interested in the subject in the first place, so I’m really excited about this last course. I continue to be amazed at how powerful and user-friendly Python is. There have been moments of frustration too, but I’m glad I went down this path and I’m looking forward to seeing what Python can do together with SQL Server.
In other exciting news, I’ve finally taken the plunge and booked a ticket to visit Gothenburg, Sweden in the Spring. It will be fun to try out my language skills and as a Heavy Metal fan, visit the city responsible for the Gothenburg Sound.
